Mid-April Snow Storm - 17 Apr 2020

Starting early this morning a front came through that dropped 1-2" of fresh snow. It was not cold enough to stick to the roads or sidewalks, but heavy enough to coat the trees and lawns. Quite lovely, despite the date.

In the early morning light I could see the Eastern Towhee laying bare the ground looking for seed, and its patches were immediately investigated by the Northern Cardinals, Blue Jays and Dark-eyed Juncos looking for food, as well.

I took a few photos through the windows.

By day's end the snow would be fleeting memory.
