0830 Hrs. Clear skies, high winds (30 mph) and warm temps (70-80).
Round-lobed Hepaticas are in bloom at Lake Mary. So are White Trillium, and a few scattered Gaywings, Violets, and Tulips. Down by Lake Huron a small patch of Marsh Marigolds are just beginning to bloom (i'm a few days early, though). A few Yellow-rumped Warblers, Cape May Warblers, and Bay-breasted Warblers are flitting about in the cedars along the shore.

1800 Hrs. As I walked down to the shore of Huron by the swimming hole
a family of 3 White-tailed Deer were feeding along the shoreline a couple
hundred yards away. I sat down and watched them for about a half hour
before they spooked and ran off. There was a newborn fawn among the
mother and father. Also out in the lake were 2 pair of Common Loon
swimming along the shoreline. As I was about to leave, a Cooper's
Hawk flew overhead, close to the water.

0930 Hrs. Did some birding along the trails by Lake Mary. Saw Yellow-
rumped, Black-and-White, Chestnut-sided, Palm, and Yellow Warblers. I even saw a Northern Parula warbler for the first time. Also seen were Black-capped Chickadees, and a Least Flycatcher, and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
