Pt. Mouillee - 06 Mar 1988

06Mar88 Pt Mouillee, MI

1000 hrs.  Driving down I-75 in Woodhaven - saw first Red-winged Blackbirds and Woodchuck on side of expressway.  Skies are clear, sunny and temps in mid 50's.

At the marsh saw Tundra Swans, goldeneyes, mergansers, Canada Geese and Herring Gulls.  Way out on the dike system i saw a ton of Tundra Swans, Mallards, Canada's, black ducks, and redhead ducks.  Quite a nice concentration of ducks.

85% of the water in the dikes and bays were still frozen, but not by much.  The lake itself was open and clear.
