Rockwood Landfill - 14 Sep 2004

14 September 2004 Rockwood Landfill, Monroe

1600 Hrs. I went back to the Rockwood Landfill this afternoon to see if I could get some better pics of the shorebirds that are about. Finally! I’ve gotten good clean shots of Pectoral Sandpipers and some nice images of the Least Sandpipers. The sun was a little higher at this time of day, and I worked my way around to the west side of the pond. This seemed to help.

As I was leaving I spotted a group of six American Golden Plover in the field across the street.
