27-29 November 2004 Central Lake, Antrim Co.
Took Esther and Hal up to the condo on Friday. Drove the Crown Victoria. Arrived around noon and had lunch at Grandma’s House in town. Weather was misty/rainy all day.
Took a walk down to Hanley Lake and found 8 Bufflehead swimming about. Too dark to digiscope.
Saturday it rained, rained, and poured. Drove to Petoskey via Co. 65 – saw about 2 doz. Wild Turkeys on the side of the road. Other than that it was quiet…
Stopped by Petoskey State Park and saw (1) Horned Grebe and several dozen Common Goldeneye.
Drive home on Sunday morning was treacherous! Mini blizzard made for blind driving all the way to Mancelona before dawn. The car got stuck on C-38 just east of Mancelona. Had to turn around and take C-66 S to Kalkaska. 2.5 hours to get to Grayling…
