30 January 2005 Detroit River, Pt Mouillee SGA
1300 Hrs. Sunny, clear, 30ºF; I drove down to the foot of Southfield Rd to see what ducks were about. A flock of Canvasbacks, Redheads, Ring-billed Ducks, and Lesser Scaup were close to the shore. As I approached the edge of the dock I noticed a pair of Canvasbacks resting on a small ice flow next to the dock. A few quick pics with the Nikon D70 and Sigma 400mm/f5.6 yielded these:
