1800 Hrs. As we touched down at Metro Airport and taxied to our gate, I saw the following birds through the window of the plane: Red-tailed Hawk, Rough-legged Hawk, Northern Shrike, and Short-eared Owl! How is that for a welcome home! Turns out that Scott Jennex had seen the SEOwl on his arrival from Texas, and someone else had seen the Rough-legged Hawk (light phase) from the terminal. Nice end to a good vacation.
