Lakeland RV Park - 20 Jan 2006

1000 Hrs. Cloudy, but warm. The pond is still hopping w/ activity this morning. Now there are 10 Moorhens actively swimming, trumpeting, and feeding on snails from the bottom of the pond.

A Green Heron is perched out on one of the stumps,

and now there are 2 Anhingas as well as a Great Blue Heron on the opposite side of the pond. A drive to town yields a couple Cattle Egrets at the golf course off Florida Blvd. Hospice lady came this morning to interview Esther and Hal, and both are mad ‘cause the cable still hasn’t been hooked up – turns out that the cable guy is in the hospital.
