Where All The Gulls? - 13 Jan 2006

For the past 2 weeks there has NOT been a single gull seen in all of Wayne County. I’ve been driving up and down Jefferson and there have been NO gulls to be seen. They have not been seen at the landfills, neither. Very curious. 

However, they may be south along Lake Erie and out near Pt. Pelee, as people are reporting them by the hundreds of thousands! No ice on the river is probably a cause. Ducks and swans are all gone, too from the river.
