House Finches - 05 Feb 2006

1400 Hrs. Super (Bowl) Sunday here in Detroit. Robin and I took a walk around the lake at UM-D this afternoon. After about 1” of snow overnight, its blustery and cold and gray. A few Mallard on the lake and a couple of Downy Woodpeckers were all we saw. The feeders at the interpretive center were hosting a couple dozen House Finches and a couple of BC Chickadees. I tried out Robin’s new monopod from Manfretto. Worked nicely for the 400mm/f5.6 and 1.4TC.
