Crosswinds Marsh - 24 Nov 2006
1300 Hrs. Robin and I took a ride out to Crosswinds Marsh this afternoon. Skies were overcast, but mild. The Bald Eagles were on the nest and soaring near the nest, and attempts to photograph them were futile.
On the opposite side of the Blue Heron trail we saw several Mute Swans that allowed some nice images.
Robin’s camera, however, suffered the Green Blinking Light of Death – luckily I discovered that there was a recall on the cameras and Nikon fixed the problem free of charge.
A leg-banded Red-tailed Hawk was on an overhead light pole as we left, and we were able to get a few pics of it.
