Redpolls, Finally! - 18 Dec 2007

1600 Hrs. I came home from work this afternoon and spotted a pair of Common Redpolls outside the window on the thistle feeder. Finally! I was afraid I'd go yet another year w/o seeing some of these cuties. I snapped a bunch of pics through the window and managed to clean them up nicely w/ Photoshop. Now, if I can only get some Pine Siskins to show up!

In 1983 we had a flock of 12 Pine Siskins, 6 Redpolls, and even a pair of White-winged Crossbills at our feeder in Allen Park! I had no idea at the time how great these birds were.
