Mexico - Day 2 - 09 Nov 2008

Day 2 was fairly uneventful. The entire day was spent at sea, and we wouldn't be reaching port until tomorrow morning. There were no pelagic birds anywhere to be seen, even w/ the scope. I spent several hours at the front end of the ship and scoped toward shore, which was not visible, and failed to spot anything.

The only bird seen all day was a Mourning Dove that I can only guess stowed aboard, as it flew past me toward the rear of the ship, then returned an hour or so later. We were 321 miles south of LA so I'm guessing that this wasn't a circumpolar bird.

We did see a Humpback Whale spout a few times approximately 100 yds from the boat, and enjoyed a nice sunset from our balcony.
