Day 2 - At Sea
At 3:45 am this morning an 8.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Chile. We were able to catch news of the quake on CNN aboard the ship. The pending tsunami warnings for the Pacific Ocean countries were covered by the minute. We watched to see if Hawaii would be affected. They dodged a bullet.
As for us, the day was also spent scanning the sea for any pelagic birds. Nothing. Not a single bird.
