Common Terns - 06 May 2010

Robin and I took a quick run over to the Grosse Ile bridge to photograph the Common Tern colony that has been established in the middle of the Trenton Channel. At 5pm this afternoon it was sunny and mild. The terns were actively courting, feeding, and tending eggs.

I was concentrating on getting flight shots, but took the opportunity to get images of the colony and its individuals whenever time permitted. Bridge traffic was heavy, and the vibration made photographing difficult.
