Bahamas, Day 4 - 14 Mar 2011

The start of daylight savings time (DST) still had me awake at ~6:30 am.  As I lay in bed I thought I heard a Red-legged Thrush outside the window of our room.  So I hurried out of bed and headed down to the courtyard.

Having violated the Bahama Woodstar for two days now I was content to just watch it w/ binoculars.  As I poked my head through the wooden gate to the lot next door I saw a dark thrush with bright red legs. Red-legged Thrush!  I watched it only moments before it flew away.  An American Redstart was bouncing in the trees and too elusive to photograph.  Outside of the Banaquits and Northern Mockingbirds things were quiet. So it was time to get some breakfast and call it a trip.
