Grandfather Mountain, NC - 19 May 2011
I drove to the Visitor Center and found the place covered in maintenance crew. Grass cutting was going on everywhere, and once they had finished, the weed wackers took over. Unfortunately, it killed any chances of photographing hummingbirds at the feeders.
I returned to the Visitor Center after the grass cutting was completed, but only found a small flock of Pine Siskins feeding at the feeders. A half-hour wait brought a few Carolina Chickadees, more juncos, Red-breasted Nuthatches, and a fly-by Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
I decided it was good time to head back to town and catch up on image processing. So it back to Panera and blogging...
