John D. Dingell Park - 26 Jan 2013
Partly clear skies, 30F this morning. The Detroit River in front of Mud Island is about 50% open today, so swans, ducks and geese are spread out more toward the middle of the channel. Mute Swan numbers continue to impress, as well as a high count of 66 Great Blue Herons on the ice and shoreline just north of Southfield Rd.
