Golden-crowned Kinglet! - 17 Feb 2013

Robin and I picked up some Sonic for lunch and headed down to the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark.  Just as we pulled into the parking lot I spotted this lovely little Golden-crowned Kinglet foraging at eye level in the pine tree that's next to the picnic benches.  Sunlight was perfect, and the bird was cooperative for some gorgeous pics.

Suddenly I am wanting to fast-forward to May, and spend some quality time on the boardwalk at Magee Marsh.  Start planning now for the Biggest Week in American Birding!
