3 New Yard Birds! - 27 Aug 2015


Just watched a flock of 30 Common Nighthawks fly over the house here in Brownstown! Robin and I were out walking the neighborhood this evening when the birds came overhead in droves. Outstanding! BTW, we discovered the wooded trail that goes out back of the Clubhouse, and its gorgeous back there, with mature maples, oaks, and even a few elm trees.

I thought I had the latest yard birds until a flock of Purple Martins roosted on the wires out back, then had a visit from an Eastern Kingbird. They overshadowed the Chimney Swifts flying at eye-level out front...
