Cooper's Hawk - 26 Oct 2019
This morning Arya and I were snuggling on the futon when a juvenile Cooper's Hawk appeared on the ground below the feeders. I tried to digiscope it from inside the house but the camera would not work(?). Turns out the shutter was on 10-second timer. So, I grabbed the Sony a9 and 200-600mm and got some shots through the back window. Of course, the camera was in Manual mode and the shutter speed was too high, so images were too dark. I had to regroup and lower the shutter speed enough to get some pics of the bird as it flew up onto the shepherd's hook.
