Bufflehead - 12 Jan 2020
After receiving almost 3" rain yesterday I was curious if there was any birding available this afternoon. Skies were mostly clear and it was cold, but the frozen ground and overnight snow had thawed. I drove through Lake Erie Metropark but didn't find anything but a few Mallard.
I then drove down Campau Rd. toward Pt. Mouillee SGA HQ and managed to find a drake Bufflehead in the canal next to the maintenance garage. The male Bufflehead was close enough for me to get a few photos from inside the car as I parked next to the garage.
