Pied Robin and Kinglet - 26 Mar 2020

Some feeder activity while home today included the return of our "pied" or partially-leucistic American Robin. Its partner was nearby for comparison. Both birds digiscoped through the back window.

A tired Yara squeaked at me for some attention, so before heading out to bird the tree line out back I took a few pics of her w/ the 90mm f/2.8 Macro.

Weather maps showed a big push of migrants into the Great Lake Region last night, and among those birds included a nice flock of Golden-crowned Kinglets. Lighting was not particularly good this morning and birds were constantly moving, so keeper rate was low. Still, it was nice to see and hear them singing.

The macro lens needed some attention, so I took a few pics of emerging fungi with it attached to the Sony a6300.
