Day 1 of Stay-cation - 02 May 2020

Just brought out chairs to deck. Took down retractible awning cover and replaced batteries. Grabbed tea, bins, camera and iPad to sit in sunny but breezy afternoon here at Brownton. In 15 minutes I’ve had the following:

Turkey Vulture soar low over house.

Common Yellowthroat foraging in thickets.

Pair of Tufted Titmice visit feeder.

Song Sparrow foraging on ground.
Cooper’s Hawk soaring overhead then fly into woods with fresh catch

Pair of House Wrens going in and out of chickadee box.
Two pair of Black-capped Chickadees nesting in bluebird boxes.
Eastern Bluebird male checking out bluebird box that I moved last eve after ejecting mouse tenant for second time in 3 days.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird male buzzed my ear and visited the nectar feeder not 30 seconds after fellow BW neighbor asked if anyone had seen a hummingbird yet.
Eastern Towhee singing and foraging below feeder.

Hummer return to yard and perch in sunlight.
Chipmunk feeding in grass.
Blue Jay posing in sunlight.

Tree Frogs and American Toads singing out back.
Chipping Sparrow foraging under feeder.

Mourning Doves sunning themselves (and possibly anting).

Baltimore Oriole looking for a jelly fix.
