Traffic Stoppers - 29 Apr 2020

I was heading west on King Rd. this afternoon on my way home when 3 Wild Turkeys strutted onto the road in front of me. Luckily, there was no traffic, so I was able to stop and watch them as they wandered onto the road and finally across the street. I was also lucky I had the a7RIV and 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens.

The turkeys continued to gobble as they walked in front of the car, and even gave me the stink-eye as if I was a threat. I'm glad the car was dirty so they wouldn't see their reflections and decide to attack the car.

The 61MPx a7RIV is wonderful for enlargements, and allowed me to see the detail in their nictitating membrane that covers their eyeballs. Neat pattern!

When I got home the Eastern Towhee male was foraging under the feeder and provided some nice digiscoping through the window. And, a female was with him!
