Signs of Spring: Gulls - 23 Feb 2021
I'm sure fellow larophiles have noticed already, but a quick trip to Dingle Park in Ecorse, MI yielded some Ring-billed and Herring Gulls adorned in fresh, alternate plumage! This is a nice sign that Spring is on its way. Both gulls are gorgeous with their white heads and bright red (RBGU) and yellow (HEGU) eye-rings.
Of course, most of the birds are still sporting their winter, dirty heads.
