White-throated Sparrow - 26 Apr 2021

Late this afternoon I spotted the first White-throated Sparrow of the migration season. The bird was foraging in the mulch below the birch tree just outside the back window here at Brownton Abbey. I watched it for awhile before getting the energy to grab the camera, open the window, and shoot away at 600mm w/ the Sony a1 and 200-600 f/5.6-6.3. The Bird Eye AF had no problem finding focus and even with the 1.4TC the system got razor-sharp images.

2 Dark-eyed Juncos continue to be seen in the yard, as well.
