Sunny Morning at Humbug - 05 Sep 2021
I made a quick stop at the Humbug Marsh Unit of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. Last night's rains left the ground damp, but the skies were clear and temps were cool in the mid 60's. I was hoping to find some warblers this morning but the woods were quiet. I'd settle for a Great Egret posing on the snag at the end of the boardwalk, and a pair of Belted Kingfishers chasing each other on the back side of the Detroit River where the Sun gave great lighting for flight shots.
