Yellow-billed Cuckoo @ LEMP - 05 Sep 2021
After my trip to the DRIWR I stopped by Lake Erie Metropark and walked the marshland museum trail. The east side trail was quiet with only the occasional Downy Woodpecker and White-breasted Nuthatch heard. But, in the bright morning sunshine I spotted a lump of feathers in the top of a Walnut Tree. Yellow-billed Cuckoo! I would follow it for the next 15 minutes as it flew to where it severely backlit, then to the west side of the trail where lighting was perfect to capture its beauty.
