Bald Eagle - 22 Nov 2021

High winds buffeted the Lake Michigan shoreline here in the Leelenau Peninsula and white caps were the visual proof. But, the skies were clearing and flocks of Bonaparte's Gulls and Ring-billed Gulls were foraging along the shoreline while 5 Bald Eagles tussled out in the middle of the lake.

At one point several began flying toward the cabin so I ran out on the deck w/ the camera and got a few pics as a juvenile passed overhead. Too bad the clouds had returned.

We'd drive into Traverse City for lunch, but alas, no Rough-legged Hawks were to be re-found.
