Windy and Humid - 23 Jul 2022

An uneventful ride this morning at Pt. Mouillee SGA. Overnight rains brought a stiff breeze and cloudy skies this morning. Even with the winds it was awfully humid and 75F.

Rose Mallow was in bloom all over the marsh.

Roosting Caspian Terns were the only action at the Pumphouse. I rode the dike next to the Bloody Run and Long Pond Units and found only scattered Lesser Yellowlegs and Least Sandpipers. A pair of Black-crowned Night Herons provided a few flight shots .

The Black-necked Stilts were a no-show along the Middle Causeway.

I looped around the Vermet Unit back to the North Causeway. A summering Lesser Scaup was seen in Cell 4 along with a single American White Pelican.

American Lotus was in bloom along the Huron River so I stopped for a few quick pics.
