Warm, Slow Morning - 10 Sep 2022

The Marshland Museum Trail and Hawk Watch were slow this morning. Not much action on either front.

I missed photographing a Philadelphia Vireo along the east side trail, but did get a Blackpoll Warbler.

A Magnolia Warbler was seen at the north end next to the boardwalk, but lighting was not good.

A Cooper's Hawk landed on a stump ahead of me on the trail, but took off into the NW edge of the trail.

Ran into Brian Beauchene at the west side dock. Also photographed this Palm Warbler that was cooperative. I missed his Olive-sided Flycatcher down the trail a bit.

Hawk watch was slow. I walked the Cherry Island Trail a bit and saw only a Palm Warbler and a group of Wood Ducks. One was close enough to photograph.

Came home to see an Empid flycatcher next to the feeders (I suspect either a Willow or Alder Flycatcher). I tried to photograph it but it ducked behind the hedge row. I instead went after a lingering hummer.
