Bay-breasted Warblers - 12 Sep 2025
You Flit, And You Flutter
While I Squeeze My Shutter,
Then You Disappear
While I Curse and Mutter
I returned to Elizabeth Park this morning to look for more warblers. Things were definitely quieter under clear skies, calm winds and temperature of 66ºF. A few pockets of warblers made appearances, but almost ALL were Bay-breasted Warblers. So this post is dedicated to them!
Small flocks of 3 - 4 birds were seen at a time, and were foraging low enough for photos. But they were frenetic in their feeding so there were lots of blurry pics and butt photos. I still managed a few keepers.
Of All The Warblers Seen This Fall
Your Numbers Are Most Abundant
And Seeing You Daily May Seem Redundant
I Will Miss You When You're Gone
