Just a Turkey in a Tree - 15 Dec 2025
Robin and I took a drive to Willow Run Airport to look for birds from the car. Skies were overcast, cold (17ºF) and breezy. And we saw nothing; not a single bird inside the airport property as we drove the Service Drive to the main entrance and back.
On the way out Robin spotted 3 American Crows.
We would then see a flock of a dozen Wild Turkeys foraging along the side of Tyler Road just east of the airport. One Wild Turkey was foraging in the berry-filled tree, but disappeared before I could turn around to get some pics from inside the car.
I would spot a second Wild Turkey farther back foraging in the trees.

We then drove to Crosswinds Marsh as snow began to fall. Near white-out conditions reduced visibility to ⅓ mile but it didn't make a difference. There were no birds to be seen, either.
