Common Nighthawks - 13 Aug 2023

This evening I went out to put the car in the garage. Looking up over the houses across the street I saw a Common Nighthawk! Then two. Then three. 

Suddenly there were a half-dozen Common Nighthawks swirling over the houses (including ours) so I ran into the house to grab the 600/4 and Sony a1. I'd chase the flock of (now) eight birds down to the ponds at the entrance to Bridgewater then back to the homes across the street from our house. Photographing these birds was as difficult as trying to capture a paper airplane tossed 10 feet away...
